Meet the Doctors
Dr. Brent J. Waterman, D.C., C.C.S.P.
Founder and literal backbone of Waterman Chiropractic Center, Dr. Brent Waterman received his doctorate of Chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, with honors, in 1979, and has maintained an active chiropractic practice in the San Ramon Valley for over 26 years. He became a board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1984 contributing to the healing and well-being of thousands of athletes.
Dr. Waterman has coordinated and provided chiropractic sports assessment and treatment at over 25 Mustang soccer tournament events in the past. He was the official Sports Doctor for the Monte Vista High School Men’s Soccer League for a five year period, Al Caffodio Boys Teams, Mustang Soccer League, Pro-Beach Volleyball, Tae Kwon Do Championships, California Police Summer Game, Women’s Champion State Cup Soccer, Local High School Basketball teams, and numerous other high school and organized athletic programs.
Dr. Waterman has a long history of dedicated service to our community. He has been a 25 year member and five time "Danville Lion Of The Year". Doc has been an instructor and lecturer to chiropractors, athletic coaches, sports medicine classes, and sports teams, teaching prevention, knowledge and awareness of onsite sports injuries. Dr. Waterman was a three term President of the California Chiropractic Association for the Contra Costa County District.

Dr. Katie Austin, D.C.
An associate doctor with Waterman Chiropractic Center, Dr. Katie Austin received her bachelor of science in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. She received her doctorate of Chiropractic and graduated Suma Cum Laude from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2006. Dr. Austin is a member of Delta Tau Alpha, the National Chiropractic Honor Society and Service Club. She is currently studying to become a board certified Chiropractic Sports Physician to specialize in the care of athletes.
While practicing in a small chiropractic office in Southern California, she accepted an offer to teach at the chiropractic college. She was faculty within the Principles and Practices Department as well as in the Pre-Clinical Division of the school. In an effort to get back to her passion, Dr. Austin became the trainer and assistant coach for an under-15 Silver Elite girls soccer team in Southern California.
A native of the San Ramon Valley, she played in the Mustang Soccer League at the Al Caffodio level from the ages of 7 to 18. She played on the Varsity team at San Ramon Valley High School and in the District III Olympic Development Program. She was also a referee, coach and field marshal for the league.
Dr. Austin, like Dr. Waterman, believes in a “whole person approach” in the care of her patients. She uses specific hands on techniques, soft tissue manipulation, computerized spinal decompression and state of the art technologies like kinesio tape and light therapy to accelerate healing and maximize your health.
